Microgaming, developer of online casino games and software, announced Thursday that the Mega Moolah video slot’s progressive jackpot recently went past the $12 million point and is still growing every minute.

Microgaming, based in the Isle of Man, stated that they were placing no limits on what the ultimate jackpot might be and that this massive win could be gathered in by a player at any moment.

Mega Moolah, a five reel and 25-payline game that can be found in many online casinos, such as MrGreen.com, 32Red.com, and VideoSlots.com, gave British slots player Jon Heywood a $16.92 million payout in October 2015. Heywood took the prize through Betway.com, which gave Microgaming a place in the Guinness World Records standings as being the "largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game".

Microgaming’s Mega Moolah slot, which as a safari theme, has also broken the record for the biggest progressive jackpot win through a mobile device, with an anonymous player winning nearly $9.25 million via Tipico.com in April 2017.

Microgaming also stated that Mega Muller had “made multiple millionaires at the start of 2018” with a number of jackpots, finishing with a $5.69 million payout near the end of June.

Since Microgaming launched its wide-ranging progressive jackpot network in 2006, it has paid out over $1.04 billion, and John Coleman, company CEO said that Mega Moolah was “a millionaire maker” which pays out “life-changing wins.” He went on to say: “We are proud to host the largest and most exciting progressive jackpot network in the industry and this is a particularly exciting time for our operators and their players. The jackpot is growing daily, and it is only a matter of time before the mega jackpot is hit.”
