New Portuguese License for Play’n GO

Author Mathias Jensen Published Published 19/04-2019

Play’n GO is making big strides in the iGaming sector. It was recently granted a license to operate in the Philippines, a rapidly improving online gambling market, and it has just received a similar license to operate in Portugal. This is a huge deal for Play’n GO and one that could see them expand into even more regions in the coming months.

    Great Variety

Play’n GO announced this new license acquisition via an official press release. They declared that the deal would see them expand into the Portuguese market, offering their expansive portfolio of online slots, including Sweet Alchemy and Rise of Olympus, to new gamblers and in new markets.

Play’n GO also announced that their online casinos have already gone live in Portugal and are available on the PokerStars Portugal website, which is available at PokerStars.pt. Portugal may not seem like the biggest gambling market on the surface, but there are millions of potential locals to target here and as Portugal is also a big tourist destination Play’n GO will no doubt capture a great deal of passing trade as well.

This deal should help Play’n GO to expand into even more areas and they seem to be trying to do just that, with a focus on Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries in South America. A spokesperson for the brand noted that this move was one of a “series of [moves aimed at expanding] into new markets”.

    Top Games

Play’n GO have been very busy lately, because in addition to these new licenses they are also adding new games to their roster and expect to have several dozen titles available by the end of 2019.

They claimed that they want to make they games available to as many people as possible, and with these new licenses they seem to be achieving that goal.
