The former track-side bookie and current online iGaming giant, BetFred, has just announced a partnership with Racing Post that will see its sportsbook host a range of content from the leading horse racing newspaper. The goal of this deal, according to a spokesperson from the bookmaker, is to provide better engagement, to improve customer retention and to increase the amount of time that customers spend on their website.

    Betting Tips

BetFred has already utilized the Racing Post’s content to provide punters with a plethora of betting tips, previews and more on sports like football, horse racing and greyhound racing. However, this new deal will bring the two major companies closer together and will provide BetFred’s customers with even more options.

The new deal will also see the Racing Post content being rolled out across the BetFred mobile platform, while including “in-depth tipping verdicts” for some of the biggest sporting events and tournaments. In addition to football and racing, the new deal will also cover content from sports such as golf and basketball, giving customers a chance to view tips and previews on a wider range of sports and events.

    More Incentives

A spokesperson for BetFred declared that the new content will provide BetFred customers with tips and predictions on “a range of sports” and would increase the amount of bets that they place and the amount of time they spend on the site. They also announced that they are the first to roll out the full Racing Post package, before adding that they see it as a “powerful tool” that will greatly benefit their customers as well as BetFred’s bottom line.

It was an “obvious next step” they said, adding that their “statistics-rich betting tips”, available across so many sports and events, helps to set them apart from their competitors.

    Engaging the Sports Betting Audience

A spokesperson for the Racing Post also commented on this deal, saying their product “engages the sports betting audience” and that they are “really excited” to be working with a company like BetFred, who are one of the biggest companies in the gaming sector and have one of the most recognizable names.
