Yggdrasil Gaming Ltd signs supply deal with Betsson AB
Yggdrasil Gaming Ltd has cast its net further internationally by signing an agreement to provide notable iGaming operator Betsson AB with its innovations.
Yggdrasil Gaming Ltd is a subsidiary of Cherry AB, the Swedish online casino operator and, over the last few months, similar agreements have been made with companies such as GVC Holdings and Lottomatica.
Yggdrasil, based in Malta, stated that the new deal is the 19th agreement it has come to with operators of European online casinos in the past year, and will allow for the introduction of its games into several new markets, including Denmark, Latvia, and Spain, also Italy where StarCasino.it provides them.
Yggdrasil was first licensed in 2013, and Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of the company, stated that Betsson AB was one of their earliest partners, with an initial partnership being agreed to just a year after licensing. He further noted that both companies have "gone from strength to strength" and that the new deal had upgraded their association "into something more comprehensive" that allows them to deal with “the increased scale of both businesses now operating across multiple jurisdictions.”
His statement concluded, "This framework will ensure that the deep and strategic partnership between Yggdrasil and Betsson continues to flourish.”
Andy Broughton Braithwaite of Betsson stated that Yggdrasil's gaming offer was "a popular choice with players across many countries and brands" and that the new agreement was "an important extension of an already successful partnership."
