​This weekend sees the return of the Premier League with Spurs take on Watford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with both teams desperate to get some points on the board.

The international break couldn’t have come at a better time for Tottenham Hotspur as they reeled from a shock 3-0 thrashing at the Amex Stadium against Brighton. Now, under-fire manager Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his players can return from international duty with clear minds and a desire to win that’s been sadly lacking this season.

Spurs are 9th in the Premier League table with just 11 points from their opening eight matches, but still just three points away from the top four, so it’s not bad anyway. The things could look brighter if they can take all three points against Watford who are without a win this season.

I think too much focus is on Spurs` bad form, but in my opinion, things look much worse for the Watford side. Their start to this season has been disastrous, with the team failing to win any of their first eight league games, whilst they are already onto their second manager of the season as after Quique Sanchez Flores returned to replace Javi Gracia.

It’s hard to look beyond a home win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and considering Watford have only found the net four times this season and once away from home, I`m expecting a Tottenham victory by at least two goals.
