Autumn opening announced for Bath Z Hotel at brand-new Century Casino
With the Century Casino complex in Bath having celebrated its official opening on 25 May, its 149-room Z Bath boutique hotel will be unveiled in the fall.
The Z-hotel group, which describes itself as an “independent city boutique hotel group”, has existing properties in London, Liverpool and Glasgow and claims to offer “prime locations at out-of-town prices”. A modern business, the Z-hotels brand was launched in 2011, and was established by the former Thistle Hotels COO Bev King, along with partners John Raymond, Jamie Goldstein and Rich Meehan.
Speaking to Somerset Live, a representative of Z Hotels described that “all rooms feature en-suite power showers, hand-crafted beds, large HD TVs with Sky Sports, BT Sports and Sky Movies and complimentary Wi-Fi.”
Visit Bath CEO David James explained that the combination of the casino complex and new accommodation will attract more visitors to Bath. The tourism board chief said, “the casino is an exciting new development for the city and we fully support this new entertainment complex opening in Bath,” “We certainly anticipate that the casino will attract new business or visitors to the city.”
The casino forms one part of a leisure complex in the Georgian spa town. With three floors, the casino offers card games and roulette across 18 gaming tables. Further, it houses 35 slot machines, 24 automated live gaming terminals and a high-end cocktail bar overlooking the Theatre Royal and Saw Close.
According to Century Casinos, the cocktail lounge offers “an exclusive, elegant top floor room with its own balcony, available for private hire and gaming”.
