Betfair and Conmebol sign a deal
Betfair and Conmebol have signed a deal that will see Betfair become an official partner to the regulating body of South American football. This will see Betfair become the sponsor to the leading club tournaments that are operated by the governing body.
Betfair will see their logo and brand name becoming part of the video package for all games as well as being noticeable within the stadiums for the tournament. Betfair have made it clear that they are proud to be associated with such a prestigious organisation. They hope that over the next three years both organisations can help each other to grow.
This news comes after Betfair’s parent company announced an increase in revenue for the first quarter of the year of almost 20%. While there have been profits falls of almost 25%, they have attributed it to the seasonal drop off in US sports.
Betfair have been working hard to increase their overall market share around the world. For 2018 they held almost 3% of the Brazilian market share and intended to build on their current growth, so that they could add to market share around the world.
This could be positively impacted by the fact that the Brazilian government are currently in talks to start offering a fully regulated market for online gambling, brick and mortar casinos and sportsbooks.
