After announcing what it would be showing to attendees of the ICE event, Evolution Gaming has made another huge announcement after revealing that it would be going live in South Africa. This comes after it was given a license from the regulator within the region.

The license will give Evolution the ability to start offering South African players the opportunity to play live dealer games from the company. It will also be offering titles from Ezugi which is a developer that offers live casino games and originates in Africa.

    Evolution making acquisitions

At the tail end of 2018 Evolution Gaming announced that it intended to increase the number of markets that it could operate in. As such it started to acquire more companies and to set up partnerships with companies who operated in markets where Evolution Gaming didn’t have a presence. This has led to more than 100 partnerships being in place for the company.

    Well known and well respected

The CEO for Evolution Gaming put out a press release saying that he was very happy with the chance to operate within the South African market. This new deal meant that the company would have lots of new customers to offer titles to. On top of this Evolution also had some prior knowledge of the market due to the work that Ezugi had carried out. It means that Evolution Gaming will be hoping to continue its position as the market leader for live casino titles.

    Hopes for long term growth

The Ezugi CEO also had similar things to say. He said that the long-term growth potential that is apparent in South Africa is something that Evolution has known about for a long time. This new opportunity should see South African players falling in love with the wide range of exciting titles that Evolution Gaming have to offer, just like the rest of the world have.

More news from Evolution in January

This news isn’t all that Evolution has carried out during the first month of the year. It’s also signed a deal with Groupe Partouche that will see it entering into the Swiss market for the first time. This comes as it is launching a new live title, Lightning Baccarat which is a title in the Lightning series of games.

The new game is expected to be a new way to play Baccarat. With additions based around multiplier cards and large payouts it is expected to be highly exciting to players. There are wins of more than 200,000 times the player stake available in the game.

    Winning awards

As well as all of this Evolution Gaming has also managed to add another award to its already full trophy cabinet. This newest award is the third year in a row that Evolution Gaming has won the casino content supplier of the year.

The CCO of Evolution Gaming commented on the award saying that he was honoured that the company had not just won the award, but had won it in three subsequent years. He said that it has capped off another fantastic year for the company that has seen more and more titles being released. There have also been expansions in the infrastructure of the company as well as new deals being signed. Overall, 2019 was a very strong year that laid the foundations for 2020 to be the best year in the company’s history.
