The digital arm of Rush Street Gaming has just received authorization to create a partnership with the French Lick Resort, which is based in the Midwestern state of Indiana. The authority came after the Indiana Gaming Commission decided that Rush Street Gaming had demonstrated integrity with regards to its mobile sportsbetting arm.

As a result, this service was slated to go live on the 3rd of October, a launch that has since been and gone. This story was reported on by the Indianapolis Star newspaper, a leading source of news in the state and one that provided much of the details herein.

    Regulatory Success

The Hoosier State has undergone some huge changes in recent months, drastically altering its stance on both sportsbetting and mobile gaming and giving companies like Rush Street Gaming a chance to venture into this new, exciting, and potentially lucrative market.

The French Lick Casino launched its very own sportsbook in September, which allowed players to place bets in-house. This deal with Rush Street Gaming will expand on those operations even further and give punters a chance to bet on a host of sporting events, including basketball, American football, and ice hockey.

These bets can be placed on both mobiles and tablets by anyone above the age of 21, providing they are located within the state.

    Geo-Fencing

According to the Indianapolis Star newspaper, the Indiana Gaming Commission will require all sportsbetting operators to use geo-fencing technology going forward. This will help to ensure that all punters are where they say they are, which in turn will stop players outside the state from entering the sportsbook and using the services.

This software requires punters to provide personal information and create an account, through which they can place all of their bets. The information required will include an email address and a date of birth, as well as other basic information, but it will also include financial information such as a credit/debit card, in addition to a social security number.

In any case, this is another big move for the state and a positive one for its players. It’s also great news for Rush Street Gaming, which now has greater access to this expanding gambling market.
