Kambi Group to Help William Hill as they Move into Swedish Market
The Swedish authorities have changed their stance on online gambling recently and this has triggered a wave of activity as casino and sportsbooks rush to provide their services in the country. One such brand is William Hill, one of the best known sports betting and casino brands in Europe, and they have just announced a deal with Kambi Group that could make their transition even smoother.
Kambi Group, a Maltese-based iGaming group, will provide William Hill with new sports betting software that will be perfectly suited to the Swedish market.
A Changing Brand
The deal between Kambi Group and William Hill was announced via a recent press release and followed William Hill’s April announcement detailing their plans to launch a Swedish-facing casino and sports book.
The purpose of the deal is to help William Hill rebrand RedBet.se and WilliamHill.se so that they can move into the Swedish market with greater haste. A statement from the Kambi Group announced that the product launch was set to take place “imminently”.
RedBet.se is run by Evoke Gaming Limited, a subsidiary of Mr Green, and was purchased by William Hill in January for a little over $300 million.
A Bright Future
The CEO for Kambi Group recently spoke on this deal, announcing that they were currently performing very well in the market, with their figures showing steady improvement. They also noted that they have recently agreed a deal with a local horse-racing provider and expect to become a leading force in the Swedish sports betting industry very soon.
