Microgaming agrees supply deal with Betsson Group
Isle of Man based software development company, Microgaming, has agreed a supply deal with Swedish online casino and sportsbetting provider, Betsson AB (BETSB:Stockholm).
According to the official press release from Microgaming, the new agreement will see the developer provide the operators with its full bingo offering.
In addition to bingo, Stockholm-headquartered (operational headquarters are in Malta) Bettson Group offers a number of online gambling products, such as casino, poker, sports betting and scratch cards via more than 20 online gaming brands including Betsson, Betsafe, NordicBet and Casinoeuro, and is one of the largest firms in the online gaming industry.
The acquisition of all of the shares in the Betsafe Group, its UK facing online bookmaker, in 2011 for EUR 60m (US$69,376,620) grew Betsson’s customer count to approximately 419,000, increasing its market presence and surpassing Unibet, part of Kindred Group, in the number of active players.
The fast-growing company founded in 1963 signed a deal with Stockholm-based B2B fantasy sports and pool betting provider, Scout Gaming Group (SCOUT:FN Stockholm), in November last year that would see it integrate its daily fantasy sports platform across all of its brands, including BetSafe.
The Group’s brands are well-established in key regulated European markets including the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain and Italy and holds gaming licenses in eleven countries in Europe and Central Asia.
What the agreement does
Via the new agreement, Betsson Group will have full access to Microgaming’s entire bingo offering, to begin with a product launch on the operator’s Spanish, UK and Scandinavian brands later in 2018, with additional markets to follow next year.
Courtesy of the new partnership, the holding company’s players will be able to fully enjoy the software developer’s state-of-the-art HTML5 bingo product, which provides access to existing game liquidity and fully integrated chat facility, delivering an unparalleled bingo experience on all devices.
Players that currently enjoy Betsson’s brands will also be able to take advantage of more than 450 Casino in Bingo side games, a broad range of bingo variants and will have access to what is the largest progressive jackpot network on the industry. Also to be supplied by Microgaming are its bingo managed services and its flexible back-office suite, which are utilized by leading lottery providers in Europe.

Microgaming recently launched a slew of exciting online slots such as Cash of Kingdoms, Wicked Tales: Dark Red and Sidewinder and also added Fortune Factory Studios to its growing arsenal of independent game builders. The new brand, which will work exclusively with Microgaming, will launch its first official game, Romanov Riches, on October 24.
