The KSA fine Kindred
The Kansspelautoriteit has fined the Kindred Group through their subsidiary Trannel International. The fine comes as a response to them offering online gaming.
They were fined just over $500,000 after it was found that they were offering a range of casino games at their Unibet site.
The games were available between August and December of 2018. The KSA found that there were also Dutch payment options offered to players as well as a live chat language choice for Dutch.
Kindred has decided to appeal the fine, even though there are no licenses for online gambling within the Netherlands yet. The new bill was introduced in February, but it won’t be fully integrated until licenses are issued to operators.
Kindred has released a statement confirming that despite the ruling they are still hopeful of being issued with a license to operate within the Netherlands and hope to have one by 2021.
