Become a Pop Superstar with New GiG Video Slot
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has just announced the launch of a brand new video slot, one of several promising titles that they have released in the past year. The game, POPSTAR, takes players on a musical journey as they rise though the ranks of the music industry and attain superstardom.
POPSTAR uses a talent-show format and was created with help from Erik Segerstedt, a pop star with a large following in his native Sweden. It has a 5x4 format and can be played on both mobile and desktop.
What to Expect
POPSTAR follows Erik Segerstedt on his ascent to fame, taking players with him every step of the way. The backdrop is a stage, thrusting players straight into the limelight, and in addition to the standard playing card symbols there are golden microphones and a selection of potential pop stars.
The goal is to audition these contestants and to collect golden tickets, and there are re-spins, bonus features and more to help players win big. POPSTAR gives players a taste of pop superstardom and should be well received by fans of talent shows like The X Factor, as well as the Swedish star on which this game is based.
According to a spokesperson for GiG, POPSTAR was created in close collaboration with Erik Segerstedt and he provides the sound effects and music for the game. He seems to have put a lot of himself into the title, which suggests that fans of Erik Segerstedt will be delighted with the end result.
New Deals
GiG have been making some big moves in the gambling industry in recent months. Not only have they spent a lot of time and money creating POPSTAR, but they have also secured some big deals, ones that could propel them forward in the highly competitive online gaming sector.
Just a few weeks ago they announced that they had signed a deal with EveryMatrix, which ensures that all GiG titles will be made available on EveryMatrix’s iGaming platform, CasinoEngine.
It was a big deal for both parties and one that they were clearly delighted with, but it’s unlikely to be the only major deal that GiG sign this year as they look to grow what they already have and to expand into new markets.
