After just securing its Swedish gaming license, Maltese iGaming company, Bethard announced that it has been granted another national license in Ireland.

A remote bookmaker’s license has been granted to the Bethard Group by the Irish Revenue Department, making it the latest license in what is now a total of five licenses obtained in Europe obtained by the company, though they plan to obtain further licenses in 2019.

Group Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Bethard Group, Erik Sharp, said:

” We are moving forward at an exceptional speed, and I think we have managed to demonstrate our sincerity in our ambition to create Europe’s leading betting company.

“Force That is to be Reckoned With”

“When I look back at 2018 and what we have managed to achieve in a very short period of time, I am exceptionally proud of the company. In the house, we work under the devise “Winners dare more”. I feel that we prove this every day, every month. In less than one year, we have moved from being a small Swedish niche player to a force that is to be reckoned with in a much larger arena. And this is just the beginning.”

    Future Licenses

Based in Sweden and Malta, Bethard.com currently possesses licenses in both its native countries, as well as the United Kingdom and Denmark. The company has also reportedly begun the process for another state license within Germany‘s northernmost state, Schleswig-Holstein and another for Spain.

Bethard is in the process of securing licenses in several unannounced additional markets and anticipates having a licensed presence in a majority of key European markets within the next year.

Bethard’s intent is to go live on the Irish market shortly after the New Year.

    Supply Deals

Last month, Bethard signed a five-year extension of its sportsbook supply deal with British online casino and sports betting innovator, SBTech, and in October, signed a commercial deal with Malta-based provider, Oryx Gaming.
