BetSoft Gaming Limited obtains Romanian license
BetSoft Gaming Limited, a developer of online casino games, will be expanding internationally, having been awarded a Class II gaming license by the National Gambling Office in Romania.
The Malta-based company said in a press release that the award of this license will allow it to offer players and partners in Romania all of its video slots, including its HTM5-compatible Slots3 offerings, as well as providing innovative new products and Casino Manager support services.
BetSoft`s Account Management Director, Julian Camilleri, said that the company was “incredibly pleased” to obtain permission to provide online casino partners with its services, as Romania is “such an exciting market.” He noted that the online gaming market in Romania had “dramatically” expanded since regulations had been overhauled in 2016 to give “clearer guidelines and better structures for player protection.” He went on to state, “While other providers rushed in early, we now believe the time is right for an educated player base to engage with our cutting-edge content and for mature operators to truly benefit from our proven platforms.”
BetSoft stated that the new license was part of a program of “investment in independent certifications” which has also resulted in new licenses from the Italian and Danish authorities. It also stated that the new license will allow it to use its innovative Shift and Vault features to develop games specific to the Romanian market and offer “marquee online slots to regions where data connectivity has traditionally been a barrier.”
Account Manager at BetSoft, Matt Avison, said that increasing its global footprint was “one of the cornerstones” of the company`s future plans, adding that over the past year the company had “worked hard to lay the foundations for further growth at home and abroad.”
