Prestigious award for Scientific Games Corporation

Last week, US gaming machine developer Scientific Games Corporation bagged the Casino Platform Supplier of the Year award at the 2018 EGR North America Awards.

Las Vegas-based SG Corp announced that the June 26 ceremony at Le Meridien Philadelphia was also a success for its SG Lottery subsidiary business, which received an honorary commendation in the Payments Company of the Year category.

The annual EGR North America Awards seek to recognize innovative gaming operators and service providers for their achievements. According to SG Corp, its award has highlighted the success of its new digital gaming and sports-betting tech platform, using its Open Platform System (OPS) and Open Gaming System (OGS) to access libraries of more than 2,000 casino games.

According to Barry Cottle, SG Corp President and CEO, it was an honor for SG Digital and SG Lottery to have been recognized at the awards. He went on to explain that the latter had been commended for its cashless lottery solution, which had been developed under a pilot project with the Pennsylvania Lottery and now included debit card payments.

Cottle stated that SG Corp are very proud of their advanced technology suite, and that it allows them to offer a world-leading gaming experience. He went on to say that the industry recognitions that SG Corp had received were testament to the amazing development work happening at the business, and the efforts of the SG teams to create the very best experience for their customers.
