Continuing its line of classic fruit-style slot offerings, NetEnt, the renowned online software developer, has disclosed that it will soon be launching Double Stacks, a contemporary online slot that will draw from the lightshow-style graphics of physical slot machines and include a range of exciting features including extra spins, stacked symbols, and Double Stacks.

    Classic Theming

Sometimes, you simply can’t beat a good classic game. So why try? With Double Stacks, NetEnt has taken a winning formula in the form of a fruit game that is based on a 5x3 grid of classic symbols, including cherries, 7s, diamonds, and watermelons. Reel in the right combination, and you could win big!

The new title takes advantage of the Double Stacks feature, which doubles all stack symbols that land in a flush pattern across the reel. Additional spins are also available, and throughout the extra spins, players have a chance to find wilds that can double up the winnings.

Describing the new title, NetEnt’s Chief Product Officer, Henrik Fagerlund, said: “We wanted to celebrate the enduring appeal of fruit style video slots and are delighted with the results. The key to Double Stacks is ageless simplicity, combined with radiant visuals—we are sure it will be a hit with old-school players and newcomers alike.”

    Moving into the US

In addition to the launch of the new game, NetEnt has recently sought entry into the United States online gaming industry via a base in Pennsylvania. The renowned supplier of digitally distributed games currently operates out of Sweden. However, according to reports, it has recently submitted an application to the authorities in Pennsylvania to secure a license to offer online casino games to gaming operators in the region. In October 2017, a new statute was passed that legalized online gaming and a series of applications are currently under review.
