Sweden sees new partnership between Evolution and Svenska Spel in re-regulated gambling market
Evolution Gaming, top provider of video-streamed live dealer games, has been selected by Svenska Spel, the largest gaming operator in Sweden, to supply a Live Casino service in the new-look Swedish gambling market.
According to Evolution Gaming, its new Live Casino service for Svenska Spel will be launched on 1 January 2019, just as the new gambling laws come into force. As the service goes live, Svenska Spel will gain access to every live game developed by Evolution, including exclusive poker games and side bets.
Svenska Spel is a state-owned business that incorporates well-known brands Vegas, Casino Cosmopol, Triss, Lotto, Stryktipset and Oddset. The company directive focuses on customer protection and the responsible provision of attractive gaming solutions.
Svenska Sel Sport and Casino Product Manager Fredrik Wastenson said that the firm had conducted an in-depth market review in order to select the very best Live Casino partner. Svenska Sel are confident, he said, that Evolution Gaming offers the best solution for the firm and its players. He went on to say that Evolution’s outstanding Live Casino will offer the best possible range of live games for players, and also a fun and safe gaming environment.
The Evolution Gaming CEO, Martin Carlesund, called the deal “ground-breaking”, highlighting the strong Swedish roots of both firms. He explained that because Sweden is such an important market for the firm, they are delighted to have been chosen by a key supplier such as Svenska Spel for the supply of a Live Casino service.
Sebastian Johannisson, Chief Commercial Officer for Evolution, said that the firm is very proud of their Live Casino offering, and that they are confident that Svenska Spel gamers will take great joy in engaging with their content. The firm is, he said, looking forward to 2019 and to launching its collaboration with Svenska Spel within the newly regulated gaming arena.
Evolution Gaming will also be launching another new partnership on the 1st January, with Swedish horse racing totalizator board AB Tray och Galopp (ATG). Under this agreement, Stockholm-based ATG will be supplied with content from the outset of the new market regulations.
