Betsson appears at the top of the rankings for Swedish casino sites

Between all of the different casino sites around the world it’s hard to judge which is at the top. Especially as the quantifiers between countries are so different. That's why it’s best to judge countries separately rather than trying to find a worldwide ranking. The latest results have come out about the rankings for the Swedish jurisdiction. This is what the research team found out.

Generally speaking, the top games that are offered at Swedish casino sites are slot titles. On average there are more than 1,000 different video slot titles available for players at each individual casino site. Obviously, this could mean that one casino site has 1,900 slots and one has 100, it’s just the average figure after all.

On average there are more than 30 table games offered to players, with the top provider in Sweden offering players almost 150 titles.

Progressive jackpot games also feature quite heavily, with around 50 on average appealing. Betsson leads the way in this category with more than 190 titles.

The way that the ranking system works is through awarding points based on how many games each operator features for each category. An example would be the number one rated slot providing site would receive 15 points, while the bottom rated site would receive just a single point. All of the points are then tallied up and a winner is crowned. For the overall points tally, Betsson received the highest number of points and so topped the ranking.

How to choose a slot

When it comes to video slot titles, the ranking system allows the individual casino site to categorise what a slot game is. The only games that cannot be put into the slot category are progressive jackpot slots. This is because they have their own separate category which counts towards the overall ranking. So, any game that is placed in the slots category on the site will count towards the overall rankings. Although Betsson managed to finish top of the overall rankings, it didn’t finish in the top three for slot titles. This means that it excelled in other game areas in order to finish as the overall top dog.
